Sin (pronounced “Shin”) Kook served 11 honorable years in the United States Marine Corps. She deployed to Iraq during the initial invasion in 2003 and again in 2004 (Ar Ramadi). She started as a motor transport operator, received her degree in Business Management through the Marine Enlisted Commissioning Education Program (MECEP) and became a public affairs officer. Her last 4 years of service, she served as a deputy public affairs officer at 29 Palms, California.
Ms. Kook is a career coach of a social enterprise project of Easter Seals Serving DC|MD|VA, the Veterans Staffing Network (VSN). The VSN is dedicated to providing top-tier military talent to employers while assisting veterans and military spouses secure long-term, meaningful jobs. Ms. Kook joined VSN in September 2013. To date, she has serviced over 350 veterans and military spouses through the job search process with resume writing, networking skills, interviewing and other job search basics. Of the ones she has assisted, over 70 are currently employed. She is dedicated to her veterans and military spouses to not just find jobs but meaningful careers.
