Transformative Programs for Women Veterans
Throughout the year, WVIF actively implements a series of programs for Women Veterans. With WVIF, Women Veterans can count on the thoughtful design and interactive nature of workshops, conferences, and events. Whether we’re working on resume writing and interview skills, providing scholarships or emergency grants, or gathering en masse for a multi-day conference, WVIF is side-by-side with Women Veterans, meeting them at their points of need.
Each Woman Veteran’s journey is unique. We are proud to provide a variety of programs and services that can assist each woman, wherever she is on her path to post-military success.

Pink & White Empowerment Series
The Pink and White EmpowermentSeries is an interactive outreach, which operates in the communities where Women Veterans live. These high-touch events meet Women Veterans at their points of need, inspiring, empowering, and encouraging them to achieve post-military success.
Each session addresses significant challenges that Women Veterans encounter and provides potential solutions on the spot. Topics include: Employment, Education, Empowerment, Entrepreneurship, Financial Wellness, Mental Wellness, Legal Services, VA Benefits and more. Attendees also learn how to access their VA Benefits.
Ultimately, Pink and White sessions give Women Veterans a much-needed network of sisterhood, camaraderie, and peer support. Women Veterans are reminded of their own self-worth, they discover motivation to forge ahead, and they leave knowing that they are not alone.
Women Veterans Transition Space
The Women Veterans Transition Space (WVTS) helps Women Veterans transition from service to success by connecting them to a network of career development and employment opportunities. These community-based workshops combine workforce development and related support (i.e., financial literacy health & wellness, VA benefits education).
Participants gain access to employment resources, learn how to translate military experiences into civilian language, and get individualized resume and application counseling. Ultimately, participants will leave with newfound confidence in marketing themselves to employers, engaging in interviews, and leveraging networks and resources.
Operation Safety Net
Operation Safety Net (OSN) provides emergency funding and financial literacy education to combat the threat of homelessness in the Women Veterans community. Funds provide emergency relief to homeless or at-risk Women Veterans, and they ensure that Women Veterans are educated and equipped to excel beyond yesterday’s economic hardships.
OSN ensures safe and suitable housing by providing emergency aid for the first month’s rent and security deposit, rental and utility payments, groceries, gas cards, and in extreme cases, life-saving medications. It is the goal of OSN to make a significant impact in eradicating homelessness among Women Veterans.
National Women Veterans Leadership & Diversity Conference
The National Women Veterans Leadership & Diversity Conference (NWVLDC) is a 3-day experience that addresses Women Veterans’ unique needs while bridging the gap between Women Veterans and the women who support them.
NWVLDC is the only conference in the country designed by Women Veterans for Women Veterans to Connect, Engage and Empower ALL Service Women and Women Veterans, regardless of rank or branch of service. This national conference is filled with keynotes, panels, workshops, a gala, and a brunch cruise. Participants network with employers and leadership, gain access to benefits, deepen awareness of critical resources, including financial preparedness, health & wellness, educational support.
Beyond the Transition
Designed to address the unique needs of transitioning service women and Women Veterans, Beyond the Transition (BTT) is an individualized service support program that provides participants with the opportunity to explore several career-path options while building resiliency. BTT aims to fill gaps in military transition services, creating valuable support as service women and Women Veterans plan for and adjust to civilian life.
Available to service women transitioning from the military within 18 months and Women Veterans who are no more than 4 years post-military, BTT prepares participants for civilian employment. Plus, participants can explore several career tracks, including nonprofit, civilian leadership, entrepreneurship, corporate and government employment.
