Programs for Women Veterans

We are proud to provide a variety of programs and services that assist each Woman Veteran’s post-military journey. Throughout the year, WVIF provides programs for Women Veterans that are thoughtfully designed to meet evolving needs. Our workshops, outreach, and ongoing services provide holistic support across every stage of the post-military journey. Operation Safety Net

Operation Safety Net (OSN) provides emergency funding and financial literacy education to combat the threat of homelessness in the Women Veterans community. Funds provide emergency relief to homeless or at-risk Women Veterans, and they ensure that Women Veterans are educated and equipped to excel beyond yesterday’s economic hardships.

OSN ensures safe and suitable housing by providing emergency aid for the first month’s rent and security deposit, rental and utility payments, groceries, gas cards, and in extreme cases, life-saving medications. It is the goal of OSN to make a significant impact in eradicating homelessness among Women Veterans.

Pink & White Empowerment Series

Pink & White Empowerment events empower Women Veterans who are considering or pursuing entrepreneurship to match passion with purpose, fuel their drive with science-backed wellness education, and network with fellow Women Veterans. Our national Pink & White Empowerment Summit, powered by Fiserv, convenes annually in Atlanta, with smaller community-based events happening in other locations throughout the year.

Women Veterans Transition Space

The Women Veterans Transition Space (WVTS) helps Women Veterans transition from service to success by connecting them to a network of career development and employment opportunities. These community-based workshops combine workforce development and related education, including financial literacy, health & wellness education, VA benefits information, and more. Participants gain access to employment resources, learn how to translate military experiences into civilian language, and get individualized resume and application counseling. Ultimately, participants will leave with newfound confidence in marketing themselves to employers, engaging in interviews, and leveraging networks and resources. Beyond the Transition

Designed to address the unique needs of transitioning service women and Women Veterans, Beyond the Transition (BTT) is an individualized service support program that provides participants with the opportunity to explore several career-path options while building resiliency. BTT aims to fill gaps in military transition services, creating valuable support as service women and Women Veterans plan for and adjust to civilian life. Available to service women transitioning from the military within 18 months and Women Veterans who are no more than 4 years post-military, BTT prepares participants for civilian employment. Participants explore career tracks, including nonprofit, civilian leadership, entrepreneurship, corporate and government employment. Subscribe to our newsletter to receive updates on future BTT programs and more.
