You served. You led. You adapted. You solved problems under pressure and learned how to keep moving forward. But what happens after the uniform comes off? For many Women Veterans, the post military journey brings new opportunities, but it can also bring questions about identity, purpose, career, connection, health, and what comes next. The Women Veterans Interactive National Conference (WVI NatCon) is the premier conference for Women Veterans. It’s where Women Veterans learn, connect, discover new opportunities, and reignite the sense of purpose they carried in uniform.
If you’re a Woman Veteran, you need to be in the room! Here’s why.
1. Empower Your Post Military Journey

Your military experience prepared you to lead. WVI NatCon helps you apply that experience to the next chapter. Through interactive, specially designed workshops, Women Veterans can explore topics that directly address the realities of the modern Woman Veteran’s experience, including health and wellness, empowerment, transition, leadership, and more.
You will hear from executives, industry leaders, keynote speakers, and panelists who have walked a mile in your shoes. These leaders understand the transition from uniform to civilian life because they have lived it.
And if you have expertise, experience, or a perspective that could help another Woman Veteran thrive, we want to hear from you! WVI NatCon is currently accepting workshop presenter applications from Women Veterans, subject matter experts, community leaders, advocates, professionals, and organizational representatives. Workshop presenter applications must be submitted by September 15, 2026. Learn more and apply here.
2. Get the Benefits Education You Deserve

You earned your benefits. Knowing how to access them, understand them, and make the most of them is another matter. Benefits education is a critical part of WVI NatCon. WVI partners with the Department of Veterans Affairs to bring a VA Benefits & Claims Clinic directly to the conference, giving Women Veterans access to experts who can help answer questions and navigate the claims process.
You will also hear knowledgeable voices on the keynote stage discussing important benefits, updates, and resources that YOU need to know about. This is your opportunity to ask questions, get informed, and make sure you are not leaving benefits on the table simply because you did not know they were available.
3. Build Your Community

Ask Women Veterans who have attended WVI NatCon why they come back again and again, and you will hear the same answer: The community.
Some Women Veterans arrive knowing everyone in the room. Others arrive without knowing a single soul. And yet, the moment they walk through the door, something happens. They feel at home. Shared experiences create an immediate sense of camaraderie. There is an understanding that does not require a long explanation. Women Veterans are stitched together by a common experience and a shared mission: sisterhood.
You may come to make new connections. You may reconnect with sisters in arms. You may even look across the room and realize that the Woman Veteran standing there was once your shipmate, your Lieutenant, your Commander, or someone you served alongside years ago. Moments like these happen EVERY YEAR.
And that incredible experience culminates with the Windsor Group Women Veterans Empowerment & Unification Brunch Cruise, where Women Veterans celebrate those new friendships, reconnect with old ones, and enjoy time together on the Potomac. Sometimes the most valuable thing you take home from a conference is not in your swag bag. It’s a sister whose phone number is now on speed dial.
4. Step into the Spotlight

Women Veterans have made extraordinary contributions in their communities, workplaces, organizations, and the broader veteran community. Too often, those contributions are not fully seen or recognized. Women Veterans often feel invisible or overshadowed by their male counterparts.
The Sisters in Service Gala changes that.
This special evening creates a stage for Women Veterans whose leadership, service, advocacy, and impact deserve to be celebrated. It is an opportunity to recognize Women Veterans who have built lasting legacies, opened doors for others, strengthened their communities, and made an impact that reaches far beyond themselves.
Seeing another Woman Veteran celebrated for what she has accomplished can remind every Woman Veteran in the room that her experience, leadership, and contribution have value. Nominations for the 2026 Sisters in Service Awards are now open through September 30, 2026. If you know a Woman Veteran whose impact deserves to be recognized, nominate her now and help shine a light on the legacy she is creating.
5. Invest in Your Professional Advancement

Your next opportunity may be one conversation away. WVI NatCon brings Women Veterans into a room filled with people who can help expand what is possible, from executives and industry leaders to subject matter experts, organizations, vendors, and fellow Women Veterans who have already navigated the road ahead.
You will have opportunities to:
- Build your professional network
- Learn from people who have walked the walk
- Take a deeper dive into topics that can advance your career
- Discover resources and opportunities
- Meet organizations and vendors who want to connect with Women Veterans
- Exchange business cards and build relationships that can continue long after the conference
You never know which conversation will lead to a mentor, a business opportunity, a career move, a resource, or your next big idea.
